As others have noted, this is an FTDI based programmer, not a CY7C68013A + XC2C256 based programmer as in the description. Linux lsusb identifies it as an FT232H, and Vivado detects it as a Digilent programmer. The chip marking was scratched off, but part of the FTDI logo is visible near the top left of the scratches. However, it does program my board, and I had read the comments before buying, so I am not disappointed.
It is a bit difficult to use this platform cable on linux (I run Ubuntu 20.10 now) since it requires a driver that (probably) will not compile on modern distros. Thankfully, there is an alternative open source driver that is a bit clunky and unstable to use and presents itself as a parallel port to the Impact tool, but it works. Also it is rather slow, but it works. If anyone knows a better solution, please let me know!
