As the Ad says it doesn't come with batteries or any calibration solution. Takes 4 x AG13/LR44's, I would order some when you buy & the calibration solution if you will be taking many readings. Used with a Hydrogen water maker which is why I brought the tester to check if the water maker is actually doing anything. Before and after readings with tap water and distilled water appear to show the tester and the water maker is working as advertised. Note the before PH/ORP readings the tester provided basically match with what you can google for distilled / tap water. Appears to do what it was purchased for.
