Dry knob on the octave was damaged. either you press it down for it to make contact and transmit sound or use it as a kill switch. Comp/Boost is always a booster. it never has the same volume as your bass. it's always louder. and it has this electronic pop when you turn it on that's very noticeable. The other 2 effects are great...
