This device behaves like an USB keyboard. When you press the data button the value is send as keystrokes to the application. The Zero setting is relative. Pushing it will reset the data cable output to zero, but not the display of the caliper/dial indicator. It works fine, but the manual should improve. Fast delivery, easy deal.
