While this is a great device for (night) wildlife rescue and observation, exploration, navigation, hunting and security; we cannot recommend it for surveillance, as the infrared illuminator your position. While the seller confirmed that the infrared can be switched off, weve been unable to do this, as the device automatically switches it on, whenever conditions necessitate. While the advertising states that low light viewing distance is infinity we have not found this to be the case. Our only other complaint is that the eyepiece is made from a soft, moulded plastic and not rubber which would have offered greater comfort. Functionality is better than any Gen 1/Gen 2 device and we recommend. Recharging is effortless and the charge holds well. Advertised accessories were received. Seller friendly and professional. Goods were ordered on July 7th and received on September 9th, 2020. (Thank you, seller!)
