The board has a good finish but, as others, I’ve received a defective one: the USB ports worked fine but the Ethernet interface didn’t even blink the activity led. According to waveshare it should work out of the box, it doesn’t need a driver or a package for the wired Ethernet interface to be recognized by The Linux distribution. I’ve tried different raspberrys pi zero w and power supply’s with no luck. After trying to solve the problem with the seller without success I had to open a dispute.
This little hat works pretty awesome with the raspberry Pi zero. It has a little tiny hook thing that goes from the micro USB of the pi zero and into the micro USB of the hat and that's how you power it. It's just a little tiny it looks like a hook with two micro connectors on it that slides right in it's like a U.
