Heavy. Made of 100% metal. The diameters of the columns are substantially wider than the other, lower quality c-stands that are sold here in Aliexpress or Alibaba. Very heavy-duty and it is a brilliant product. I will definitely buy more of those. Totally for professional photographers. Shipment took quite a while from China to New Zealand
