As far as I can tell this is a genuine HiXing product. Despite reviews saying they couldn't get sound out of it, I find it quite good, the fault is their lack of preparation and perseverance. It's not like a recorder, as much, if not more, depends on the technique with the mouth to make the note as it does the fingering. I haven't tried the supplied reeds as yet, I'm using Rico 1.5 strength reeds as advised for students in many saxophone tutorials online. So far so good, it's taken a few hours, but I can already stumble through "When the saints go marching in", but it's my lack of skill with blowing a reed instrument that needs work, the fingering is not the problem.
