I've extensively tested the unit. Findings: It does indeed split frequencies, so two channels are mid-high whilst the other two are sub-low. It is really powerful for such a small unit, just absurd. I'm powering it with a 14,4V PSU,the amp really likes having a voltage bump, it further amplifies with higher voltage. It took some time to get warm and start spinning the fan, even without thermal paste.
