shipment to UK uses parcelforce on local transit meaning they act as DTI agent whether you want them to or not and charge £12 "handling fee" for the privilege of them holding up the transaction! Thankfully sender declares just the goods cost and not the paid shipping fee in the customs deceleration which reduces the charged import VAT a by about a third which offsets parcelforces extortion fee. NO tracking was shown on aliexpress platform.
The instrument is not set up, and can be significantly improved by correctly setting it up. The neck has slight back bow so needs adjustment of the truss-rod but no hex key is provided. You'll need s 4.0mm hex key to do this. I have added two quarter turns anti-clockwise to the truss rod that added a very slight front curve and removed buzzing on the low frets. The NUT needs adjustment as strings nearly 1mm too high. A photo to show the extremely high nut height attached. That will be addressed in the near future. When adjusting the bridge screws remember to slacken off the strings first or you will find it very difficult and likely damage something with the force required to overcome the friction caused by the string tension. Four plectrums were provided in the same package as the strap, an instrument cable is provided. The padded soft bag Hofner logo is embroidered not a patch. There was NO tracking shown on Aliexpress platform I had to search for a 3rd party tracking provider.
