I like these motors from JMC, they are easy to control like stepper motors, but have other advantages compared to closed loop steppers: Full torque up to over 3000 rpm and short-time 3-fold overload capability (then the power supply must also be able to supply three times the current and swallow it when braking fast). For testing you only need a power supply 20...50V DC and a frequency generator. Another praise to the seller: You know how to pack high-quality products safe for transport, unfortunately not self-evident.
