Its a Xun not an orcarina hence 4 stars on accuracy, rest is 5 star. You play it like a glass pop bottle or jug, blowing over the end hole. Has a Chinese finger chart booklet. Super freckin uncomfortable, as in no clue what I'm doing. Got some sound from it, pretty if you can hold a note. Very nice to look at, i got the peony pattern just put a note to seller if you want that pattern. Yes there is black powder residue. They mean business when they packed it. Foam sheet wrap and then this bulky air pockect wrap. Lots of tape. No fragile stamp though and it's just in an evelope. Mine came in perfect condition and quickly, about a month, even during covid and the orange criminal in office. I'm curious, was this put in a kiln? Would putting it in a kiln with a clear glaze make it water proof and no powder? Would it change the sound much? Does it really need to be modified? If so, how? If i do put it in a kiln at what temp? What type of clay? Is this greenware or has it been fired once?
