I used this to mod my bass guitar. Along with a half-round wood file, it helped me do the job perfectly, I couldn't be happier with the result. The reamer was sharp enough straight out of the package, I didn't need to sharpen it myself. Some tips on how to use this tool to get the best results: 1) figure out the diameter you need the hole to be. 2) measure your reamer and find the spot that has the diameter you need. Draw a line there with a marker. 3. Ream from both sides of your project, stopping at the line you drew earlier. 4) After reaming from both sides, there will be some excess material in the middle (because the reamer isn't straight). Use a file to remove that and you'll be done.
