Design is unique but those that get need to understand electronic schematics and do your own layout. There is no step by step manual. I am also concerned about the 330uf capacitor brand as it is known to have doubtful quality. Other than that it is a nice amplifier to build.
I chose the DIY version of the amp. It came in two parcels, very securely packed. Communication with seller was excellent and helpfull all the way. Seller assured me that the 220V version can be used in my AC230V country without long term side effects. The tubes are LINLAI 300Bs, old Russian 6N8Ss and a Chinese 5Z3PA. The sound i can describe as an extremely transparent, you get showered in details, texture, musicality. Realism is sometimes spooky! It is not slow or overly warm as i expected it to be. It is surprisingly fast and clear and really engaging. If i could blame it anything is that it can be a wee thin and bass shy on some recordings. Though this could also be the blame of my Dynaudio Emit 20. They are tough to drive 86dB, not ideal for a 7W amp. But a combo of a quality floorstander of >90dB and this amp could very well be the ticket to audio nirvana. The amp looks kinda understated but very elegant and chic, and will easily stand the test of time for many years to come.
