To be honest before replacement the phone MI 4C was in almost full working condition except Quick charging and USB comunication not available. This is not my first, nor last BGA soldering and everithing in term of: desoldering, cleaning old solder from all pads (check under microscope) residue, bga flux application and soldering this "new" chip went by the book. The battery was at 4V. After cleaning and assembly the phone did not switch on. When charger was connected the red light blinked, the usb current was 150mA. After long press power button the current went to 550mA and after a while again to 150 mA. The motherboard started heating. After a day of charging nothing new. I then replaced the new chip with the second one (I bought 2 pcs), but the result was the same. The phone is now dead and waiting for a chip from a verified source. I can not confirm the chip PMI8994 002 does work, although on the pad side the microtraces look the same. Proceed with caution!
