It's a beautiful ear set. But the noise reduction is far from the advertised -22dB. There is only light foam for high frequencies, and the cup is too thin and light weight to add extra protection. The average noise reduction is -6dB or -9dB at best. Base frequencies come through unhindered. Note: this headset does reduce high frequency noise better than low frequency. This makes it suitable for areas with old tv screens, industrial laser equipment, solar power inverters, and maybe idling jet engines at the airport. None of these places are suitable for children, but if your child has to be there anyway, this item can protect their ears a little bit. It's much better than nothing.
