The first thing in the player you notice is it's weight. It is robust and heavy. The feeling is not for a cheap plastic gizmo but for a well designed and manufactured device. The sound is of course better than that of an average phone but it depends of the source. I can't say it is magnificent, but is quite good. I use pair of quality headphones and with some pieces of music I can say it is the best sound I can get with my equipment. The screen is good and bright, the controls are a bit odd and need time to get used of but I don't complain. Overall - it is much better than any device not build exactly for that purpose and is worth having.
