It's actually the piece that I needed to replace a broken hinge in my DS Lite and does just that thing, however the quality is poor and it looks awful compared to the original piece. It also is relatively hard to place and seems like it's not a perfect match... I wish this was of a better quality.

Looks very cheap up close compared to the original (and page photo). Molding lines of the circles around speakers are clearly visible. Plastic feels pretty sturdy. If looks don't matter should be fine.
