Shells have a nice color and feel solid. I can see no gaps or defects and the surface feels nice to touch I did not do the transfer as I purchased these to have a backup for a different joycon shell (dpad version) and I wanted to use the back side for the priting however the other ones have slightly different shade of color so I will be not using them at this time
