Lamps are absolutely ok and fine. I have the same lamps with 4300k in high beams. Though I never liked colder light, I wanted to try 5000k (in the same high beams). These lamps give about the same light throw as 4300k (maybe a bit less to my eyes) with visibly whiter and colder light. I see worst with colder light so I switched back to 4300k. This has nothing to do with lamp quality - they are absolutely good if you like whiter colder light.
