I had a problem with this tube amplifier.The channel balance is badly wrong with low listening volume, poor volume control potentiometer (Taiwan).The worst thing, though, was, almost constant, intermittent, loud hum, Brumm, Buzz, seems like a ground loop, it completely blocked listening, the device had to be turned off immediately.I replaced all Tubes, no effect, I got enough, made a slightly bigger hole in the shell and installed an EMI filter, added a new grounding, repaired the existing one and replaced the correct wires for the filter.Program Select / Volume Circuit board I cut it in the middle, so that allowed me to install a higher quality ALPS27 potentiometer (six leg no Loudness).Be careful, the cut-off point is narrow, but yes it is possible.It's easy to install ALPS27 right now on the original PCB, It should have been installed this way at the factory.The original grounding was poor and the contact surface painted = POOR GROUNDING was cause of all the interference!
