The item is not a precision tool - the brass blade holder is very sloppy in the channel and is scratched, the groove cut in the brass blade holder is wider than the steel retaining bar allowing for excess movement, and worse of all the blade is completely blunt. Furthermore the item was shipped with the blade proud of the bottom of the planer - this would have been dangerous IF the blade had actually been sharp.
