A top knife. Nicely made and very sharp. On the strap is a copper skull with points on it. They hurt when you press them to fix the knife. Can you send me something else for that with a smoother surface. Would really appreciate that. Thank you!
The knife is excellent with a perfect size handle. The damascus steel is real, it is forged (folded) and then treated with acid, which creates this special pattern. It looks a bit different from other damascus steels, but it is not fake because you can feel the ridge pattern. Fake damascus patterns are "painted" on the knife and are totally flat. This knife is laminated. This means that only the outer layers are damascus, the center layer of this knife is VG-10 steel which is both resilient and very sharp, and is much stronger than damascus steel. So this knife is both decorative and functional. The sheath fits perfectly and looks very good. There were no bad smells. My only criticism is that the color is completely different from the product page. That was a disappointment because I really like the red wood.
