Purchase incomplete, they didn´t send the AC power adapter. The provider only sent the sata / usb connector. It is sad, because without AC power it doesn't read the disc.
I found the photo was misleading. There is no power supply, nor, for instance, SATA cable. You only receive the adaptor with its cable to a USB port. Therefore what you received is very different from the photograph. Disappointing because I now have to wait for a power supply. However, the adapter looks good quality, although I have not yet tried it.
Now I have received a power supply, I cannot read any data from an EIDE drive. I have tried several times. The drive (eg. Maxtor) itself is recognised but not any data. There is a flashing red light with a button, But I have no idea what the button is for.
