Works as intended, just plug the USB-C cable and it starts charging. It doesn't overheat even if left charging overnight. It's a nice add-on if you want to make it easier to carry just one charger for all you USB devices and your old laptop is still good. Just make sure your wall adapter is capable of providing the same power output as the original charger.
