Good product.but the light is red, not sure if its power on or off. or taking power from my laptop

Very handy and doesn't put stress into the computer's USB port as you keep the hub plugged into the computer and remover the memory sticks and devices from the hub. I used the on/off feature for a USB light plugged into one of the ports. Other ports are used to charge my phone.
