INDEED UNIVERSAL, including DELL HP.... When the slider is set at 19V, the voltage is identical to the manufacturers charger's voltage. On 230Vline or 12Vdc battery is behaves like the manufacturer's charger. Tested on DELL and HP laptops. Temperature rise is 15C for 50Watt charging power. The case is full metal case with screws; looks good quality. Connector adapter can be with a single piece, or a 2 pieces setup. The first section is a 90 degrees adapter, with a polarized connection; GND is out, always. The adaptor is strongly fitted in the cable. If needed a second section adapter can be fitted for more choices in adapters, like DELL HP Lenovo. The Dell HP adapters have the electronic needed to be recognized by the laptops, that are using a 3rd conductor. The 12V power connector is with a 15Amps glass fuse, 6*30mm F15AL250V.
I did add measurements to compare this unit to ASUS units. It is quite close to ASUS performances. Efficiency for a 12V battery is 76%. A little bit low , but very convenient.
