Flawed design. This tripod is touted to be revolutionary because it has a stealthy cold shoe mount designed into it. The problem is that when I slid the cold shoe of the light into the mount, the furthest it would slide was less than halfway because the tightening post to lock the tripod open is in the way. It has a bulbous top that stops you from being able to fully mount a cold shoe.
