Have just tried the headset out in our club aircraft, and it had a lot of distortion and only in one ear despite changing the switch, I have a pair of sony WH-1000MX3 and the noise cancelling is great but the mic doesn't work and after 2 minutes it stopped working. I had to plug in our original headphones just to be able to listen out for local traffic. I have had a look in the volume slider housing and the housing where the mic terminates , and all there is are connections, so basically I have paid over NZD$340 for a mic , a volume control some plastic containers to connect them in and that's it, that is not value for money at all. On top of that It doesn't even work , someone else commented that it was expensive, and now I understand why. Don't waste your money on this. The clever bit is in your headphones that you already own! You could probably buy all these bits and make your own for less than $20,
