Well. It was well packed, and that's all I can say that's good about this magnet. It's supposed to be strong, but it's anything but strong! I opened it very cautiously and carefully knowing what a neodymium magnet of that size can do. The first thing I've seen was that the corners flaked off (neodymium magnets are covered in this protective silvery film, and it was coming off - see photo). While that in itself is bad (the magnet will rust over time if unprotected), the actual magnetic field generated is just too weak. See another photo, if it were a good strong magnet, my thumb would have been severely compressed, but I feel no pain. I can easily remove it from a hammer head (a big chunk of ferromagnetic material I had around). Which, again, should not happen with a good neodymium magnet. Disappointed.
