Very sharp knife just out of the box, cuts soft item like a tomato very easily. This knife has a good size blade as a utility knife and will be good basic work in the kitchen. The only issue is that the handle is small, so this knife is good for someone who has small hands. Also you may want to clean wash it with a soft material since the outer layer surface is soft and can be scratched easily.
