Very nice mini pc! Thank you
ADVANTAGES: 1) the PC is superfast with DDR4 RAM and NVME SSD. Amazing performance of Intel i7 10500U 4.9GHz: android linux kernel build takes ~6 minutes, lineageos 17.1 build takes 4hrs 12mins; 2) 15W TDP is almost fanless system; the fan does not turn on in "Best energy savings" windows 10 "power mode" ; KDE Plasma/Wayland on debian seems to dissipate more heat and the fan turns on more frequently periodically; 3) 144Hz image on 2K VA monitor via HDMI and DP looks very smooth, solid, stable; 4) aluminum case quality is amazing, finishing is great; the case has enough space to mount a Warship JEYI heatsink with a tiny turbine fan on top of NVME SSD (its fan was noisy and SSD does not warm up higher than 53 degrees so I left the fan unconnected); 5) the price of barebone system $370 is lower than 10500U core i7 alone $409 (recommended price on ark.intel.com) and 2+ times cheaper than original Intel NUCs;
DISADVANTAGES: 1) custom-soldered SATA-3 HDD connector with unique pin-out; no 2.5" SATA connectivity anymore after it's lost; 2) Intel AC-3165 Dual Band wifi pci card on unhibernated linux 5.6 debian with iwlwifi-7265D-29.ucode on 2.4GHz is very slow, while on 5GHz it runs with full throughput (same fast speed for other wifi consumers from the same wifi router, probably some of the bands are not handled by iwlwifi) under windows it's always fast no prob, 3) the PC feels a bit heavy for its size, no legs to keep it vertically on the desk; 4) second LED does not blink on NVME SSD reads/writes; 5) BIOS doesn't enumerate all of the bootloaders I've put to /boot/efi/EFI folder on my EFI partition, they must be flashed also to NVRAM via efibootmgr (I'm not sure if I understand the whole picture correctly), unable to boot from external USB mSATA SSD that gets detected and booted okay on Cube Mix Plus tablet
