Love it
This amp has been surrounded by a lot of drama of late with reports of malfuctioning units, sometimes resulting in damaged earphones, which is a terrible misfortune. Topping are replacing all units with S/N less than 2012 even though such an occurrence must be rare. My new one has a 2011 S/N and is being replaced. Shenzen, who supplied my L30, are sending a replacement. I contacted them about my concerns and they responded immediately and couldn't be more helpful or professional - really excellent customer service. The L30 itself looks classy and high quality. I chose the black one and I love it, especially the red trim on the volume knob. I have tried it with various iems and my new Hifiman HE400i 2020s and they both sound great. The L30 construction seems quality: good quality metal body, nice switches. Given the malfunctioning unit problems I can't recommend the L30 until I have used the replacement unit for a while. But initial impressions are very positive...
