USB C should be a connector, where it is not important how you connect it. I use this cable with a Baseus USB C hub and a Dell laptop. I have to keep the orientation of the connector to be able to use all the functionalities of my hub.

The connectors are pretty good but the cable is a little bit too hard to be easy to use. Nevertheless it is a good product
