Buyer beware. The doorbell unit must be charged every 3-6 days. If you disable all video functions it may last 6 days with a full charge. Otherwise after multiple views and/or a few 30 second videos, the battery is dead. You will definitely need to hard wire the unit to a continous power source. This should be stated in the add. I tried to return the product, but was denied. The doorbell ringer will still work after all video interaction is disabled but why not use a regular doorbell. You will notice the battery indicator drops each day until you see the picture attached. This means you must detach your doorbell and re-charge the unit. Silly to charge your doorbell 52 times a year.
