needle shows the resistor where record button comes out. So if, as in my case, you do not need the video out, you can use the cables for this. it is the yellow wire which i choosed. So you can place the record button anywhere better than at the camera camera does not fit well into the cars housing. need to warm it and pull the r/l walls about 3-5 mm away

using a brand new 64 GB card, Samsung extreme, class 10. calibrated and formatted with the app. After pressing the snapshot Button for a really short moment, dvr does not take a snapshot or save the video. instead dvr immediately behaves as the Button is being pressed for 15 seconds or longer. All settings are gone and the sd card is being formatted. poor quality for this. additional, the user guide is from june 2018 and explains an issue with the guard function. we should wait for an update. now we have 2 and a half years later (december 2020) ........ will this be solved? and finally, why not easily write the config onto the sd card? So you do not need to Set up everything new after battery restart....... this is not what I expect from such a product from sinosmart
