Fits a first-party tormach tool post with no modifications.
Fits my tormach 1200 tool post and machine nicely. This tool is clunky to use, and a much better and accurate option would be to just get the Tormach TT-50 and easily get more accurate sharpening, but if you're on a budget like me, this can do the job. The diamond tip isn't exposed at first. Looks like the tip is nickel-plated, but that'll flake off soon enough. At first only 1-3 small diamonds were exposed near the surface of the tip I got and the first 6-8 passes didn't give a good surface finish. I needed to wear quite a bit of the tip away by truing my grindstone repeatedly, and rotating the tip a 1/4 to 1/3 turn atleast twice inbetween, to expose a decent amount of diamonds inside the tip of this truing tool. Only after that process did the tool give a good surface finish on my stone. It just so happened that I needed to do lots of cuts on my heavily-out-of-true grindstone so it worked out for me in the end.
