This is not a true walking foot. The little plastic serrated teeth only go up and down, with the ability slide with the fabric under slight spring tension, so they can return to starting position. What the little plastic teeth actually do, is slightly raise the pressure foot, so the fabric can slide forward a little easier. This does help to reduce the the waves you get when sewing some fabrics. Good value for the price.
