Installed this in my XPS 9500. Fits perfectly. Note that this adapter is different than the one for SSD 1, you can only use this one for SSD 2. My Samsung 970 EVO's temperature used to hover at 60 °C, after installation dropped to about 40 °C. Shipment took about 1,5 week to the Netherlands.

For those of you who put in a second SSD for an XPS 15 9500, this heatsink fits properly and really does work. Good quality copper, etc., I purchased a samsung 970 EVO plus, 1Tb as a second SSD. Without the heatsink when running a performance benchmark with Samsung's Magician software (free), I was getting temperatures close to 70C. After installing the heatsink and doing the same benchmark, it did not go above 45C. Caveats: (1) I also used a little heatsink grease (thermal grizzly) to ensure proper contact; not sure if necessary. Just 3 dabs; towards both ends and in the middle. (2) I don't recommend the screws that come with it. They have two problems; the threads are a bit too long; SSD doe not sit tightly. Also the screws are non-conductive. If you are going this far, get conductive (chrome coated, shiny, as what you can see in the factory installed SSD). Buy a separate set of chrome coated screws. You may have to file it down with pliers and small file
