Misleading title. This is not a 4-way switch (I expected a switch with 4 detents, 4 positions), but it's a continous maybe 16 or 32 detent rotary encoder combined with a push button. Haven't tried it, may work well though. The store shipped it super quickly, so 5* for the store anyway.
