Actually color is acorn color. Not really distressed wood more mechanical design. Wires not long enough to join in one splice and no box where to safely do splicing. I bought Insulated terminal block and screwed to top of wood. Have to staple all the wires to top of wood to hide them. The top metal cover is only 3 inches wide and won't cover us electric boxes. Had to make my own. Need to be handy to deal with this fixtures.
