This is all together when you get it. It has a nice felt on the bottom. So do not be foolish and push the rod thru from the top to the bottom and through the felt. The wing nut goes on backward then you screw it into the corner a halfway then tighten then wingnut down The base is really heavy and will hold your puppet in place. Worth buying. I bought green metal spray paint off amazon and then painted it with 3 coats so I can just green screen it in my video editor.
