The material is solid and strong --it is made out of steal (not aluminum) which makes it perfect for ear cropping. The locks (screws) have a great grip so they tight with precision which is necessary when you are doing the cut so that it comes out evenly. The curve is more pronounced that most molds in the market and that adds a nice finish for pitbulls and mastiffs.
