Thanks
I didn't expect this to be a high precision device. However, I didn't expect to see constant spikes of 500uV noise when use as a constant voltage source ! At least not in this price range. The noise is 5 to 10 times higher that the much cheaper LB01G. In the low voltage range (<=110mV) the spikes are also there, but just a few microvolts. The noise spikes seem to be relatively constant in the 1V to 10V range. For me, the noise makes the device almost unusable. There is a possibility that my device is faulty. If not, BRIGHTWIN should not call this a "Precision Process Calibrator". I have attached screenshots taken from a DMM6500 with voltage set to 2V Other than that, the display looks nice, the operation of the device is ok. The beep is annoying, I'm not sure how to disable it. The manual that comes with it is not very good. It says something about changing fuse, but I'm not sure how to open the device to change it (if possible).
After contacting BRIGHTWIN directly, I was made aware that the noise I measure is still within specification. That is actually true, but by a small margin. Therefore my original one star might be a bit unfair. If I knew how to change it I would give it 3 stars. I was also told that they will update the manual with information about how to change fuse. I found out that the screws to disassemble the unit are under the four small rubber feets. They easily come off if you insert a small flat screwdriver carefully and pull the feets off. After opening the case I found the fuse soldered but it should be easy to replace if needed.
