The product description claims suitable for rifle scope Objective Lens Diameter: 40 to 45mm. The first problem is that this item mounts onto the eyepiece, NOT the objective lens end of the rifle scope. The second problem is that the 40 to 45mm isn't a continuously variable adjustment. Instead there are 3 plastic rings that can be inserted, giving a total of 4 fixed diameters. Using my digital calipers, these were measured as 40.5mm, 42.57mm, 43.54mm, and 45.24mm (no plastic ring). With the smallest ring, the adapter won't securely mount onto my Leupold VX-Freedom (outside diameter of eyepiece is 40.1mm). Can't say how it'll hold up to recoil.
