I purchased this device also 1-2 years ago and had problems. It stopped working after a few minutes. This time I ordered it again but without battery. After adding the battery from the old device it started up perfectly and has been working fine. I noticed that the hardware revision has changed since last time. I guess they have found weaknesses in the old design and fixed it. For the price I'm very happy with the device. I wish it had other types of output terminals, but I knew that before purchase. It does have some noise on the output, but not more that I expected at this price range.
