There was a pocket hole jig comparison of an earlier version of this type of jig against the Krieg Pocket Hold Jig. The earlier version of this jig failed because as you tried to drill into (hard) wood, the drill bit would deflect and rub against the solid aluminum guide block and wear off the anodized surface. Over time, your drill bit will be loose in the hole and wander away from where you want your hole.. This jig is version 2.0 and I thought the place black piece you see has been replaced with a hardened steel insert to prevent wear and tear on the jig and keep your drill holes where you want them. When I go this jig, I took a magnet to see if this black piece was steel or not. IT IS NOT STEEL or any other sort of metal. It's a plastic or nylon type material and will wear out even faster than version 1.0 of solid aluminum. Stay away from this and other jigs with the black insert. NOT RECOMMENDED,
Very good quality, packaged very nicely and arrived in a couple of weeks
