I was blown away with these reels ( 1000 and 2000). They feel like the Penn Conflict II reels for the 1/3rd of the price. They are light and really tight feeling. Just can't believe the quality in these reels. I use to be a Shimano stradic guy but I found out through heavy use, they didnt hold up any better than the more inexpensive reels. I went to Okuma reels because I could beat them up and if they finally went bad, I could just toss them. I saw the reviews on this reel and gave it a shot and it blew away the Okuma reels in their price point. I cant say enough about these reels.
