Great processor, shipping was fast, CPU was well packed. A bit of advice during installation: if the CPU doesn't work in your motherboard but the motherboard documentation says it is compatible with the processor, check the BIOS version. On my ASUS P6T SE, the BIOS version was 0512. When I went to the ASUS website, there was a version 0908 available and in an addendum to the printed manual, there was a note that 0908 was the required version to support the i7 990X chip. I had to create a DOS USB memory stick, download the 0908 BIOS to the stick, and go into the BIOS settings (pressing DELETE while booting), start the ASUS EZ Flash utility, and choose the download BIOS file from the USB stick. Once the BIOS was flashed, the CPU worked perfectly.
