Arrived with no damage to the outer box. The case is made of aluminum. It is very simple and can be assembled without manual. The chip is a JMicron JMS578 / firmware v1.04. I didn't measure the performance, but it's a fairly common USB3 disk. To take advantage of the surplus HD is recommended.
